Beautifully drawn and painted, K. Is this the same speed-painting technique you used for your earlier paintings? (The one I recall offhand is of two characters on a cliff overlooking a valley… but it’s 2 AM and I may be misremembering.)

As for the painting, this is way more ‘bullshit painting’ than ‘actual artistic painting.’ I inked the treetops and whatnot, and just threw a bunch of colour in.

Ah, new inking style. Nice.
Eaten by an orca….. well with Borean Tundra I’d think it more like the Succulent Orca Stew quest, which is a part of the chain quest for King Mrgl-Mrgl and the Winterfin murlocs…. now if they were in Howling Fjord, I’d say the “Scoodles” quest given by “Silvermoon” Harry and the chain quest involving the Northsea Pirates.
I think the new inking style is way better! Its so much cleaner and more professional looking, I really hope you stick with it

Looking a bit chewed there Cadistra
When I first saw this, before reading any of your posts about it, I was impressed with how the art looks. The art has always looked clean and confident, but today it was really kicked up a notch. Wide-eyed Cadistra looks very nice in the next-to-last panel. The coloring on Sholozar is beautiful, too. All in all, a feast for the eyes.

The new inking technique makes the pictures look a lot more bold, I think you should continue using this method.

Something tells me Kama would be just as comfortable being the old man in the Jurassic Park movie the way he says that line
Every since the first time we met Kama, I keep thinking “Bronze Dragonflight” each time I see him.
Anyway, hope they make it there soon. Kissless is more fun when she’s not zonked out on the back of a talbuk.
The only quest I can think of is the severed arm fishing daily in Dalaran… my belfadin is only 53, so I haven’t seen Northrend from Horde-side.

great comic this week, Kissless still has her hair, seems like the talbulk doesnt like the taste…. um… looking at the map the only Pillar with “Life” in it’s title is the “Lifeblood”Pillar in the Eastern part of the Basin, however the Scourge have taken over….so im wondering if that will have a factor in the future..
I like the new inking style. Makes everything stand out a bit more and gives it a bold touch

While Kibbles will always be my favorite I am warming up very VERY much to the very well drawn Talbuk.
Maybe I’m just not looking hard enough, but I haven’t seen a single dino in Sholazar…I guess all the Titans just left ‘em back in Un’goro.
I am always so late to the update comments! I LOVE your vista shot of the Basin. That and Winterspring are my two favorite places in all of azeroth.

P.S. I hope Cad’s level is high enough that she doesn’t aggro all the wildlife in the vicinity.

“Welcome to Jurassic Park” makes more sense in Un’goro Crater than it does for Sholazar Basin. And I keep hitting the wrong comment section here doing your journals when I mean to do the comics argh.

So thanks for inspiring me enough to go out and get them! It was totally worth wasting hours for. ^_^
2) You’re the reason I decided to continue rep grinding with the Kurenai (stupid ogres… *grumble*) for those beautiful talbuk. And I’m so pleased with the results…

Personally, I dig Winterspring, Zangarmarsh, and Terokkar. And Cadistra looks so cute in the next to last panel.
I do like the art style change. Personally i do all the work in SAI myself, even tho i found a new Japanese product called IllustStudio, which, if you google for it, has some videos showing off all it is capable of. They’re making a english version, too…
